Who are the Horae.
In Greek and Roman mythology, the Horae are the goddesses of the hours and seasons . The word for "hours" in most European languages comes from their name. Although the Greek myths don't agree on how many there are, usually there are said to be twelve. This may be where we get the number of hours in a day from.
The Horae command the hours and seasons, and also order and adorn all living things . Dike (Justice), and Eumonia (Order) are among those who direct our lives and others like Thallo (Flower Bringer) , Musica and Anatole (Dawn) bring beauty to it.
"The Birth of Venus", Botticelli's famous painting, shows a Horae clothing Venus as she emerges newly born from the waves. The Horae , with their love of personal ornament , jewelry and clothes are the patron spirits of goldsmiths, weavers and dyers. With their dual concerns of time keeping and beauty, they are the symbol of our brand.
